The ten-year long sacking of Troy told through the women's eyes is an entertaining reconstruction of the times, although during the first few chapters, which are laced with present-day expletives, I confess, I was tempted to abandon it. It is however a fascinating mix of ancient history become mythology, giving voice to those who survived the desecration and slaughter of their men and children.
