Four Letters of Love by Niall Williams
A delightful tale that weaves together the separate lives and trials of two isolated individuals, until they eventually meet. Their future is predicted, but not actually apparent, even as the tale ends. In that peculiarly Irish way, Williams blends the quizzical interrogation of the intentions of God, with the prosaic and a bit of magic realism, all set in the wilds of the West coast.
